Summer School
Our Summer School is an annual event which takes place for a week in August at Theatr Brycheiniog.
This year's Summer School will be held from August 16th - 20th, and is open to children aged 9 years upwards.
Expert ballet tuition is given by professional dancers from Independent Ballet Wales, an award winning company based in Newport, South Wales. In addition to a daily ballet class, they teach some of the company’s exciting and original repertoire and work with the students to choreograph pieces of work which are shown on stage at the end of the week.
We also engage other professional dance teachers in order to introduce a variety of dance disciplines to the students throughout the week. Disciplines introduced in the past include flamenco, street/hip-hop, contemporary, tap, modern, breakdance, and Indian.
