Summer School
Our Summer School is an annual event which takes place for a week in August at Theatr Brycheiniog.
The 2011 Summer School was held from August 15th - 19th, and was a huge success.
The 2012 Summer School will be held from August 13th - 17th, and is open to children aged 9 years upwards. Places are strictly limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Expert ballet tuition is given by professional dancers from Ballet Cymru (formerly Independent Ballet Wales). In addition to a daily ballet class, they teach some of the company’s exciting and original repertoire and work with the students to choreograph pieces of work which are shown on stage at the end of the week.
We also engage other professional dance teachers in order to introduce a variety of dance disciplines to the students throughout the week. Disciplines introduced in the past include flamenco, street/hip-hop, contemporary, tap, modern, breakdance, and Indian.
